Introduction to Infectious Diseases in the Workplace, 3 Hour Course Online
This course is being delivered in a live virtual format online. The course will meet at the scheduled time & dates using Zoom. Course materials and information will be sent electronically prior to the course date.

• A webcam and microphone are required to participate in this virtual course.

Description:
This awareness level course is designed for those who perform work with the potential for exposure to known or suspected sources of infectious diseases, including COVID-19. Participants will become familiar with: the transmission of infectious diseases in the workplace, types of infectious agents, preventive measures for a safe workplace, strategies for preparedness & response, strategies to support continuity of operations, existing guidance and OSHA standards that protect workers, and worker rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. This course will be delivered online via Zoom. Participants will be emailed a link to participate before the class begins. Participants must attend the entire online module and complete an end-of-course survey in order to receive a certificate of completion.
