-This course is a required core course for OSHA’s Public Sector Certificate.
About This Course:
This in-person course will introduce students to OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction industry safety and health principles. A copy of the 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards is included with the registration fee.
For those interested in becoming authorized 10hr and 30hr OSHA Outreach trainers, the OSHA #511 course meets one of two prerequisites for the OSHA #501 Trainer Course for the General Industry. (Please note, completion of the OSHA 30-hour outreach class is not equivalent to completion of the OSHA #511 course).
Examination:
In addition to attending the full course, students must pass a written multiple-choice examination to fulfill the requirements of this course.

Environmental, safety and health managers and employees, plant and facility engineers, maintenance staff, individuals new to the field, experienced environmental safety and health managers looking to expand their knowledge.
