Description:

This course covers has been revamped for 2019. The course covers OSHA Electrical Standards and the hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment.

Objectives include:

  • Explain fundamentals of electricity
  • Explain basic electrical concepts
  • Recognize electrical system components
  • Explain types of fault conditions
  • Apply electrical safety standards
  • Recognize electrical hazards
  • Describe electrical personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
  • Explain employee training requirements
  • Recognize electrical safety related work practices
  • Assess hazardous electrical energy control procedures
  • Identify types of electrical testing equipment
  • Recognize hazardous locations
