Description:
This course covers has been revamped for 2019. The course covers OSHA Electrical Standards and the hazards associated with electrical installations and equipment.
Objectives include:
- Explain fundamentals of electricity
- Explain basic electrical concepts
- Recognize electrical system components
- Explain types of fault conditions
- Apply electrical safety standards
- Recognize electrical hazards
- Describe electrical personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Explain employee training requirements
- Recognize electrical safety related work practices
- Assess hazardous electrical energy control procedures
- Identify types of electrical testing equipment
- Recognize hazardous locations
