-This course is a required core course for OSHA’s Public Sector Certificate.
About This Course:
This in-person course will introduce students to OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as construction industry safety and health principles. A copy of the 29 CFR 1926 Construction Industry Standards is included with the registration fee.
For those interested in becoming authorized 10hr and 30hr OSHA Outreach trainers, the OSHA #510 course meets one of two prerequisites for the OSHA #500 Trainer Course for the Construction Industry. (Please note, completion of the OSHA 30-hour outreach class is not equivalent to completion of the OSHA #510 course).
Examination:
In addition to attending the full course, students must pass a written multiple-choice examination to fulfill the requirements of this course.

Individuals new to the field of construction and safety, those interested in developing and implementing safety and health programs, those responsible for safety and health at some capacity who are looking to expand their knowledge.
